I'm totally psyched.

I am too! And we do have a room for Friday night, so we'll be able to stay for the Meet the Pros party without killing ourselves with the traveling. All is good. :)

Good to see you too! I'm not entirely sure about Worldcon for me--we're going camping for a week right before that, and then to Italy after--but I haven't ruled it out. I do hope you can go. I think you'll love it, and Worldcons are great places to hang out with SFF Net folks.

Well this is all sad to hear if it comes to pass you can't make it although the camping bit and trip to Italy are nothing to sneeze at for fun either. :)

The only con I've been to so far has been the ConJose/WorldCon a few years back. Unfortunately, I couldn't do the whole conference but got a taste of the fun to be had. I knew very few people but hopefully that has changed somewhat over the last couple years of on-line activity.

Yes, I'm looking forward to the full experience. Need to get my act together on reservations. Paula from our IRC chats just got some the other day so that's a heads up to me.

My niece also lives in Hollywood so I can double dip on that trip. Also have friends in San Luis Obispo, obviously, so may fly to Burbank via Southwest and then take the train into LA. Train out to SLO for a bit and then San Jose for a trip back to Omaha (and then Lincoln).

I'm considering starting a publication (paper and/or on-line) on sustainable living in Nebraska and that might be my own fly in the ointment unless I can link them together in some way.

The newsletter sounds terrific, but I hope you can make Worldcon too. With all the people you know from chat now, you'd have a blast, especially if there's going to be a SFF Net Suite.

We're toying with the notion of possibly going to Irish Week in the Catskills again this year, too, which would definitely exhaust my traveling oomph, but nothing's definite on that front yet. (Some years I'm very up for it, and some years I think about all that I still haven't mastered from the last few times I went, and I wonder if I should just stay home and practice more. *g*)

Whacka-whacka, no sight of Irongall lately. I have to go to bed relatively early for me now, to attempt to get the bus into downtown Boston in the morning....

I did actually for real and for truly make it back into chat last night. And missed you!

I got home from work Thursday and was so wiped, I went to bed (read for a while in bed, but I did not go into the livingroom and turn on the computer. I was asleep probably before 10:00 PM... stayed up too late the night before.

Sorry not to see your phosphors, but glad you got some sleep. :)
