With the exception of a few disappointments, the news this morning is very, very good. In fact, it's WHEEEEEE-worthy. And so:

WHEEEEEEEEE!!!

Because my body decided last night that 8 p.m. really was still 2 a.m., even though I thought that sleeping eleven hours the night before had been an insta-cure for jetlag, I was in and out of a heavy drowse on the sofa till my SO called it and shut CNN off around 10:30, but I've been up since five hoping to hear good news about Montana and Virginia.

(Yup, could be a long wait, but K woke up too sick to go in and I can work up here, so now we're back to hanging out in front of CNN.)

Hi, Terry.

Yeah, last night was sweet. Even if the Dems don't take the Senate (though it's still possible), the margin in the House leaves no doubt who won. It's a good thing.

A good thing indeed, and heartening, after a long, dark time of profound disheartenment (and two weeks in Italy feeling that a lot of people disliked us right off the bat for being American, although most of the time we couldn't tell whether it was because we represented U.S. actions that they took issue with or because two of us always ordered Coke with dinner *g*).

It was the Coke. :) Also, WHEEEE, and even zee-HAW! I'm jetlagged too. WA is a lot nicer than NY.

Very glad to hear you like WA better than NY. Zee-HAW! And hooray for your homecoming. :)
