IGI Day

Hey, this journal is three years old today. :)

The sky's putting on a fireworks display for the next couple of nights. Around here the best viewing will be after 11pm. If we go out to watch tonight, I'll be in chat on the pretty late side.

Very cool! I'll be in Flagstaff this weekend, the viewing should be great there!

Hope I can catch you in chat this week!

Great, re: Flagstaff!

Has it learned to go potty and walk on its own yet?

Not that I have observed. But it does get up to no good in the wee hours.

Coolness re three years!

There is nowhere practical to go see the meteors from where I live. Not unless, like [livejournal.com profile] ferragus, I want to drive up to Flag. Phoenix metro area has horrible, horrible light pollution.

We have terrible light pollution too, but we've done pretty well going down to the beach to watch the Perseids and Leonids in past years.

This time we got skunked--cloudy skies. We stood out in a spatter of rain for a while and watched the consolation-prize lightning show.

Hope you at least got to see a couple of shooters!
