tmcgThe swallows seem to have departed; for the past couple of days there have been dragonflies. I sat on my deck for about fifteen minutes today at lunchtime and just watched them go by. The air was filled with them as far as my eyes could see.
Because I live near NYC, there's been a stepped-up coastal patrol of military helicopters. Now and then I would see a copter or two in the far distance, and in the nearer distance--almost the same apparent size and shape--a dragonfly or two.
