What Do Ordinals Sound Like?

We have arpeggiating starlings, mockingbirds that learn to mimic car alarms, and some kind of avian that sounds remarkably like a pinball game. All of them communicate at reasonable volume. Lately, however, there's a cardinal in my yard whose calls sound exactly like a series of three sfnal weaponry sound effects. Ear-piercing sfnal weaponry sound effects.

The weirdness of this, as well as the futuristic action-adventure tone, somewhat mitigates the irritation factor at five in the morning.
