During today's Ohio-Michigan game, one of the marching bands played a phrase of Carmina Burana's "O Fortuna!," and I came one step closer to being able to say "Now I've heard everything."

It does sound awfully inspiring for a depressing song.

It's certainly dramatic! And in that context gives a foreboding sense of doom approaching, footstep by pounding footstep. Good when you're team is threatening to score.

Have you heard "Hate Me Now" by Nas? It's a rap song that samples that same "O Fortuna" part of Carmina Burana. I'm not a huge hip-hop fan, but I have to say I thought it worked.:
