Allingham's "The Fairies." Bishop's "How to Treat Elves."

A. A. Milne. Dorothy Parker, who fwowed up.

Arnold's "Dover Beach" and Hecht's "The Dover Bitch."

I don't know The Fairies (or if I do I don't know the title) or How to Treat Elves. I like A. A. Milne and Dover Beach. I like Dorothy Parker very much. I wish had her talent for high impact short stories. I have the Portable Dorothy Parker on my bookshelves, something that indicates its consitent value since I now have more books packed away than I do out on shelves.

I would tell you what else I like but my mind has now gone astonishingly blank with just the idea that I might have to conjur up a list.

I'm getting to that point with the packed-away books, too.

How to Treat Elves is cute--click on the link to read.

I'm not sure where I'm going with the list, except that I'm noticing that I like a lot of things that are...inimical? opposite poles? So I'm keeping track, so I can try to figure out what it's suggesting to me.
