110 Stories, by John M. Ford

The last line of Seamus Heaney's poem "Mid-term Break" is "A four-foot box, a foot for every year."

Ford's poem is one hundred and ten lines, a line for every story.

I just blogged this over on my site too. I wasn't going to (thinking nobody really had a crying need for me to blog it), but when I went and read it, I knew I would.

It's not only a whopper of a piece altogether, but some of the individual lines have the strength of poems all on their own. It really is a weaving of pieces to form a whole and it does what media revisiting often fails to do for me, it lets me absorb and feel it in my own way, not as I am told to feel or respond.
